Fencing sabre with a skillfully formed and curved guard, shagreen-wrapped grip, and 14mm straight blade. German-made, double-fullered blade (marked "Made in Germany") appears to be marked "S. D. & G. New York" likely indicating the sporting goods importer and retailer Schoverling, Daly and Gales.

Blade thickness 6.07 x 14.37 mm at guard, 4.89 x 12.34 mm at strong, 3.99 x 11.91 mm at middle, 2.66 x 10.22 mm at weak, 1.84 x 9.45 mm at point. No blade curvature. Hilt 15.5 cm total length. Guard 7.9 x 14.5 cm, 1.45 mm thick material, 7.4 cm between knucklebow and grip. Grip 14.2 cm total length, 12.2 cm visible shagreen, 17.96 x 25.91 mm thick at middle. Point of balance 9.6 cm from guard. Weight 514 grams. Measured according to FAAMP 1.0.
