en N.Y.U. RETAINS JUNIOR TITLE
The N.Y.U. team of Gold, Lewis, and Steyer retained the junior foil team championship on Jan. 2. Steyer and Gold pulled through with victories to tie and win against the two strongest trios in the field: The Fencers Club (Cantor, Shakespeare, and Lesselman) and the Salle Vince (Barck, Bruder, and Goldstein). N.Y.U. was 3-0 behind in the semi-final (against Vince) but squeezed a win at 5-4 in the most exciting match of the evening.

Lewis fenced well only in the final, when N.Y.U. swept the University F.C. out of the picture by 5-1.

N.Y.A.C.'s two-man team (Acel and de Nagy) won its preliminary match from N.Y.U. "B" team despite a three-bout handicap. They eliminated the college youngsters with a 5-4 score.
