SALLE D'ARMES VINCE... Mr. Vince ran an evening of indoor sports at the Beekman Tower Hotel under the auspices of the Panhellenic House Association. There were matches in ping-pong, badminton, Japanese fencing, and jiu-jitsu.

PHILADELPHIA SWORD CLUB... The club went down to Annapolis and defeated the midshipmen for the first time. It was a thrilling match, with Navy leading all the way. When the sabre was reached, the score stood at 13-8 for Navy. It was truly a team victory, for the six men from Philadelphia each contributed at least one bout to the final score. The outstanding men, however, were Dick Morten, Charles Kolb, and Brooks Parker. The latter won the deciding bout from Vance to give his team a 14-13 victory.

WEST POINT... The Army fencing team opened its season with a victory over the Saltus Club. The final score was 14-11, and Ripple of Army was the star of the meet.

BOSTON... The Walker Memorial Gym was the scene of the 4th Olympic Foil Tryout. The finals began at 3 P.M., with special features interspersed among the last nine bouts. Joe Levis was the leader of the field, while Hugh Alessandroni lost only to Levis in the final bout of the evening. Hurd, Grasson, Pecora, and Castello finished in that order. Grasson's fourth place was the surprise of the meet, as he reached the finals with an upset victory over Dernel Every. Santelli and Huffman fenced an exhibition sabre bout, then Grasson gave a foil lesson and Mignard and Blehs demonstrated the electrical epee. Balloon and plume fights were staged by two Harvard graduates. Dancing followed the finals and the party was continued at the Salle d'Armes Peroy till the early hours of the morning.

BROOKLYN FENCERS CLUB... This club is rapidly growing under the enthusiasm of Mr. Budelov, Jr. J. Smith and Mr. Goldstein. At the present time Ralph Goldstein and Miss Addie Bassi are the only ones active in the league, but they are building up a team for next year. The club meets at 247 E. 53 Street in New York and is coached by Joe Smith, who also coaches Hunter and Brooklyn Colleges.

NEW YORK A.C.... The club went up to Yale with a four-man team and came back with a 14-11 victory. Barnes won 6 out of 7 bouts, losing only to Gafford. Viscidi and Grasson starred for the losers.

CORNELL UNIVERSITY... will play host to Hamilton College this weekend. The match starts at 2:30 P.M.
