Edward Carfagno, Duris De Jong, R. Faulkner

Open Sabre
Ralph Faulkner, John Ely, Duris De Jong

The Pacific Coast Championships will be held at the Los Angeles A. C. the latter part of this month and will include a full schedule of novice, junior, intermediate, and open individual and team events for both men and women. San Francisco will enter well over a dozen men, and entries from Seattle, St. Louis, Portland, Salt Lake, Denver, and other cities are expected.

NEW JERSEY... Jose de Capriles staged something of an upset in winning the state Open Foil Championship held at the Commonwealth Club in Montclair on March 2nd. Warren Dow, holder of the title for five consecutive years, was runner-up while Dr. Jerry Cetrulo placed third. Dr. J. Flynn and E. May completed the round robin of five. Bad weather again kept the entry down to a minimum number, but they are looking forward to a large New York entry in the Open Sabre and Epee Meets.

PHILADELPHIA... The Junior Championships of Philadelphia went off in grand style, with 23 contestants striving for honors. Here are the summaries of the winners:

Foil—R. Wayne Martin, Sword Club; Roy Hinxel, Radnor H.S.; William Hutton, Radnor H.S.

Epee—Jonathan Goldmark, Haverford College; R. Wayne Martin, Sword Club; Howard Davis, Germantown Academy

Sabre—Andre V. Reichel, St. Penn Charters; George Oppenheimer, V.F.M.A.; E.G. Recio, V.F.M.A.
