S.T. Stewart Jr. (Salle Vince), top-seeded favorite, won the Jr. Sabre Championship at the N.Y.U. Gymnasium on Washington Square. Jim Hutchinson (N.Y.A.C.) was second, and A.S. Deming (Yale), a surprisingly strong third.

After dropping his initial bout 5-4 to Ralph Herson, Stewart swept through 11 consecutive bouts. Needing one victory in 8 bouts to clinch the title, he was momentarily halted by Deming 5-2, but won the next match handily.
