en Winning all her bouts in both tournaments Marion Lloyd captured the First Olympic tryout and the Greco Trophy. Dorothy Locke and Joanna de Tuscan fought it out for second place. Dorothy triumphed in the tryout, Joanna in the Greco. Although the tryout was very important, there were only 14 entries.

The failure of Carol Alessandroni, Maria Cerra, and Barbara Cochrane to qualify for the finals of the Greco competition was a blow to those who had expected great things from these youngsters this season. However, we hope they will continue the improvement they are already showing and will finish the season with flying colors.

The inter club match was won by the Salle Vince trio who defeated the N.Y.U. and Salle Santelli teams in the 3-cornered final round robin. One of the major upsets that night was the defeat of Dorothy Locke by Simone Abbatto, a student at N.Y.U. and a comparative newcomer.

Maria Cerra won the Jr. Invitational tournament at the Salle Santelli for a prize foil pin donated by Warren Dow. Miss Cerra clinched the honor when she defeated Barbara Cochrane 5-4 in what turned out to be the deciding bout of the tournament.
