en N.Y.A.C. WINS SR. SABRE TITLE

The N.Y.A.C. dethroned the Salle d’Armes Vince 5-1 to win the new Sherman Hall Cup. The old Shield, which was the previous award for the Championship team, was also presented to the N.Y.A.C. for permanent possession, as the club has won it 16 out of the 24 times it was competed for.

John R. Huffman turned in his usual brilliant performance, but Bela de Nagy attracted much attention with his excellent style which was more effective than any time this season.

Five of the six bouts in the final went to 4-4, but that fifth touch just wouldn’t land for the Vince trio.
