SHOULD WE HAVE A DICTIONARY?
Several people have suggested that we run a small box each issue, giving a few words with their definitions. The language used during the course of a bout is often vague, and the members of the jury are sometimes wont to misuse them. A dictionary of the technical words used in fencing would probably clarify them, and perhaps provide us with a more concise vocabulary. We would appreciate it if you sent words in to us, and submit the definition which you attribute to them. Those that disagree with you will then present theirs, and we’ll see what happens.
