FROM SAN FRANCISCO
The Handicap Foil Tournament of the Bay division was won by Robert Dasmann of the Olympic Club, fencing at scratch. Out of the 16 men representing the Olympic Club, Funke Fencing Academy, Y.M.C.A. of San Francisco, and Stanford and California Universities, six fencers reached the finals after 4 hours of fencing.
On the final strip were F. Leicester, V. Arnautoff and R. Dasmann of the Olympic Club, J. Morrill and W. Callow of the Funke Fencing Academy, and R. Mercer of the Central Y. Leicester and Arnautoff tied for second and third. In the fence off Arnautoff defeated Leicester who had to fence under a 4-point minus handicap.
The Prep Foils competition was won by Richard H. Mercer of the Central Y., while Clem W. Vail won the Prep Sabre tournament.
