DOUGLAS DEXTER IS DEAD
Douglas Dexter, well known British fencer, died in London recently. Dexter was a member of several British Olympic and International teams and was well liked in all fencing circles. Mr. Dexter was also a magician of great repute, and was vice-president of the Magic Circle in London. He had performed before the Crown and is well remembered by our American fencers for his spectacular feats of magic as well as his extremely accurate epee fencing.
Douglas Dexter was on the British team which came over four years ago, and he won the United States Outdoor Epee Championship before returning to his homeland. His death is mourned by all fencing circles.
