SALTUS CLUB HAS ANNUAL DINNER
The Saltus Club, one of the oldest fencing clubs in the Metropolitan area, held its annual dinner at the Maison A. de Winter. This was the 15th annual meeting, and the following officers were elected for the 1937-38 season:
President - Wilfred Ritayik
Vice-President - Theodore Green
Secretary - Paul Gordon
Treasurer - Edward G. Egan
The meeting was preceded by a period of one minute’s silence in respect to the passing of Honorary Vice-President John Allaire who had been actively associated with the club since its inception.
In recognition of the services of Herbert E. Twyefforte, the office of Honorary Vice-President was conferred on him.
Maître Maurice J. Ferro, retired professor of fencing, was the first speaker. Mr. August von Munchhausen related his experiences while abroad as a participant in the World’s Championships held in Paris last September.
Mr. Walter B. White, retiring president, announced the membership as 62 and urged every member to join the A.F.L.A.
