EDITORIAL NOTE
“Aldo Nadi Says” presents to our readers Aldo Nadi’s personal reactions to American competitive fencing, told in Mr. Nadi’s own provocative style, alternatingly blunt and subtle, always penetrating and authoritative.
Aldo Nadi needs no introduction to the readers of The Riposte, as his almost legendary reputation as a swordsman is known all over the world. Mr. Nadi has also had extensive experience as Fencing Editor for several leading Italian and French newspapers.
The Riposte, in accordance with our well-established policy in regard to signed articles, does not necessarily agree or disagree with Aldo Nadi’s views. The editors are a bit self-conscious as to the contents of Aldo Nadi’s first article — we might as well admit it — but we think that our readers would prefer to read what “Aldo Nadi Says,” and not what the editors think he should have said. A number of subsequent articles, we hope, will be forthcoming.
