The Bazar's New Pattern Sheet The article describes a variety of sewing patterns, including a practical gymnasium & fencing suit for young girls and several garments for infants. The gymnasium & fencing suit includes pleated knickerbockers and a loose blouse, designed for fencing or general wear. The knickerbockers require precise pleating and fitting, with the pattern provided in two parts on the sheet.
For infants, the pattern sheet features several designs, including a flannel cape and hood, a shawl-shaped jacket, and a box-pleated jacket, each requiring minimal fabric and offering simple yet elegant finishing options. Other baby garments include a nightingale jacket, a delicate underslip, and a handkerchief dress trimmed with Valenciennes lace.
Additionally, the pattern sheet includes a set of French embroidered lingerie, featuring a chemise, drawers, nightdress, corset cover, and petticoat, all adorned with ribbon and embroidery. Each pattern includes detailed instructions on fabric requirements and specific cutting techniques, offering a comprehensive guide for sewing enthusiasts.

At this point in the team competition, Italy has beaten Germany 14-2 and Hungary has beaten Poland by the same score. This match between Italy and Hungary is the decider, and the Hungarians would eventually win the gold medal.
The scoresheet to the left list (from top to bottom) the four finalists in the team sabre: Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungary. The names on the right hand scoreboard right reads (from top to bottom) the names of the Italian team members–Marzi, Bini, Puliti, Anselmi–followed by the Hungarians–Tersztyanszky, Gombos, Petschauer, Glykais.
The fencer fencing with his back to camera is possibly Sandor Gombos (Hungary); his team mates, Tersztyanszky and Glykais can be seen seated and standing in the back between the scoreboards. The Italian team is seated down front on the left.
